MIMOTTA Limited Warranty Policy
Last Updated: September 28, 2026
At MIMOTTA, we design our products for reliable, long-lasting everyday wear. If a product develops a manufacturing defect, we will resolve it fairly and efficiently. This Warranty Policy sets out the terms of the MIMOTTA Limited Commercial Warranty.
This warranty is provided in addition to any mandatory consumer rights under the laws of the customer’s country of residence. It does not replace, limit, or waive any rights that cannot legally be excluded.
1. Warranty Period and Eligibility
- MIMOTTA Watches — 2 years (24 months)
- MIMOTTA Bracelets, necklaces and other jewelry — 1 year (12 months)
The warranty period begins on the date the product is delivered. If the delivery date cannot be reliably established, MIMOTTA may use the purchase date instead.
The warranty applies to products purchased from MIMOTTA at mimotta.com or through an authorized MIMOTTA sales channel, with proof of purchase. If a product was received as a gift, the recipient may submit a claim using the order number or other proof of purchase. Products bought from unauthorized resellers are not covered.
A product repaired or replaced under this warranty is covered for the remainder of the original warranty period.
2. What This Warranty Covers
The warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials, construction, or assembly that appear during normal use of the product for its intended purpose, and that are confirmed by MIMOTTA’s assessment. Examples:
- a watch movement that stops or malfunctions without any impact, water ingress, or other external cause;
- a clasp, fastening, link, or pin that fails because of a defect in how it was made, without signs of external force;
- a structural component that breaks under normal use because of a material or assembly defect;
- premature peeling or flaking of a plated finish caused by a manufacturing defect;
- a stone or decorative element that becomes loose because of a defective setting;
- a leather, cord, textile, rubber, or elastic component that fails prematurely because of a manufacturing defect.
Minor signs of ordinary use do not void the warranty if they are unrelated to the defect being claimed.
3. What This Warranty Does Not Cover
The warranty does not cover defects or damage caused by:
- impact, dropping, crushing, snagging, pulling, or any other mechanical damage;
- clasps, links, or fastenings that are bent, deformed, over-stretched, forced open, or show other signs of external force;
- improper or negligent use, or use for purposes other than those intended;
- failure to follow the care instructions provided with the product or on our website;
- repair, disassembly, modification, resizing, or alteration by anyone other than MIMOTTA or its authorized partner;
- exposure to water or moisture beyond the water-resistance rating stated on the product page. Products without a stated water-resistance rating are not designed for contact with water;
- exposure to chemicals, chlorine, salt water, solvents, perfumes, cosmetics, lotions, or cleaning agents;
- improper storage, excessive heat, or other abnormal conditions;
- loss or theft.
The warranty also does not cover normal wear and tear, including:
- scratches, scuffs, dents, and gradual cosmetic changes;
- gradual fading, wear, or discoloration of plating, PVD coating, gold-tone, silver-tone, or colored finishes, including discoloration caused by skin chemistry, sweat, perfume, or water;
- gradual wear of leather, cord, textile, rubber, elastic, and other soft components, such as fraying, stretching, cracking, or loss of color;
- lost stones or decorative elements, unless caused by a defective setting;
- watch batteries, which are consumable parts (a battery that does not work on delivery is covered);
- watch crystals that are scratched or broken;
- magnetization of a watch movement;
- timekeeping deviations within the manufacturer’s specified tolerance for the movement;
- an automatic watch stopping after it has not been worn beyond its power reserve (this is normal operation, not a defect);
- incorrect size or fit chosen by the customer (see our Refund Policy).
These exclusions apply only to the extent permitted by applicable consumer protection law.
4. Reporting Issues
Please report damage in transit, a wrong or missing item, or incorrect engraving within 7 days of delivery where reasonably possible, with photos of the product and the packaging, so that we can file a claim with the carrier and resolve the issue quickly. Reporting later does not affect your statutory rights.
Please report other defects promptly after you discover them, and within the warranty period.
5. How to Submit a Claim
Contact MIMOTTA Customer Support at support@mimotta.com and provide:
- your order number or other proof of purchase;
- the product name or model;
- a short description of the issue and when it first appeared;
- clear photos and/or video showing the defect (for clasps and fastenings, a video of the clasp in use).
MIMOTTA assesses claims remotely first, to avoid unnecessary returns. If the cause cannot be determined from photos or video, MIMOTTA may ask for the product to be returned for inspection, following the instructions provided by Customer Support. Please do not send products without prior instructions.
MIMOTTA may decline claims where the product shows signs of tampering, where the information provided is inaccurate or misleading, or where the issue is not caused by a manufacturing defect.
6. What MIMOTTA Will Do
If MIMOTTA confirms a covered defect, it will provide an appropriate remedy free of charge, which may include repair, replacement, or a refund, subject to applicable law.
- If the model is still available, the product may be repaired or replaced with a new product of the same model or an equivalent version of the same model.
- If the model is discontinued or unavailable, MIMOTTA may offer, with the customer’s agreement, a comparable product in the same price range, a product of equal or greater value on agreed terms, or a refund of the amount actually paid for the affected product.
- If an appropriate repair or replacement is not possible within a reasonable time, the customer is entitled to a refund of the amount actually paid for the affected product.
MIMOTTA will not replace a product with a different model without the customer’s agreement. Where mandatory consumer law provides different or broader remedies, those rights apply.
7. Personalized and Custom-Made Products
Personalized products (custom engraving, names, numbers, inscriptions, or other customer-specific features) cannot be returned for change of mind under our Refund Policy. Personalization does not remove warranty protection for manufacturing defects.
If a personalized product has a manufacturing defect, was damaged before delivery, or does not match the order details the customer confirmed (including engraving that differs from the text submitted), MIMOTTA will provide a remake, replacement, or other suitable remedy, or, if that is not possible, a refund.
The following are not considered errors:
- engraving that matches the text the customer submitted, including spelling errors made by the customer;
- minor variations in engraving position, depth, or font rendering. Product previews and mockups on our website are illustrative.
8. Shipping Costs
For an approved claim, MIMOTTA covers the standard cost of returning the defective product and of shipping the repair or replacement. MIMOTTA does not reimburse express shipping, insurance, or other costs chosen by the customer, unless approved in advance.
If a product returned for inspection is found not to be defective, or the damage is excluded under Section 3, MIMOTTA will explain the reason, and the product can be sent back to the customer at the customer’s cost.
9. Refunds
Refunds are issued for the amount actually paid for the affected product, to the original payment method where possible. The time for the funds to appear depends on the customer’s bank or payment provider. This does not limit any mandatory refund deadlines under applicable law.
10. Warranty and Returns Are Different
Our Refund Policy covers ordinary returns (for example, change of mind). This Warranty Policy covers manufacturing defects. The return period does not shorten the warranty period or any statutory protection.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, this warranty is limited to the remedies described in this policy or required by mandatory law. MIMOTTA is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses, including loss of profit, arising from the use or inability to use a product. Nothing in this policy excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
12. Customers in the United Kingdom
UK consumers have statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, including a short-term right to reject faulty goods within 30 days of delivery and the right to a repair or replacement. This warranty is provided in addition to those rights and does not affect them.
13. Customers in the European Union
For EU consumers, this warranty is a voluntary commercial guarantee provided in addition to the statutory legal guarantee of at least 2 years from delivery. Consumers are entitled by law to remedies free of charge from the seller where goods are defective or do not conform to the contract, and those remedies are not affected by this commercial guarantee. The 1-year MIMOTTA warranty on jewelry does not reduce the statutory guarantee.
14. Customers in the United States
For consumer products sold in the United States, this warranty is the MIMOTTA Limited Warranty. It gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary from state to state. Implied warranties are not excluded to the extent they cannot lawfully be excluded.
15. Changes to This Policy
MIMOTTA may update this policy for future purchases. Updates do not retroactively reduce rights attached to earlier purchases where the law prohibits this. Please keep your order confirmation.
16. Guarantor and Contact
This warranty is provided by MIMOTTA, 11A Myru Street, Apt. 113, Petropavlivska Borshchahivka, Bucha District, Kyiv Region, 08129, Ukraine. Payments for purchases are processed by Western Bid, Inc. as Merchant of Record; all warranty claims are handled by MIMOTTA.
